Chapter 17 : Treatment

Accidentally Choosing the Strongest Alpha in the Galaxy on a Blind Date

Ji Anli had known from the first time he saw the snow wolf in the alley last night that it was enormous but seeing it up close now was still shocking.

The snow wolf, almost as tall as him, stood majestically, taking up a large part of the room.

Its massive, agile body, sleek lines and fluffy snow-white fur completely blocked Ji Anli full view.

Ji Anli stared at the snow wolf, his pupils bright and he subconsciously swallowed, barely restraining the urge to reach out.

Looking at it up close, the fluffy white wolf fur seemed to be enchanting his very soul.

Who could resist this?

The room wasn’t large and with the addition of a giant snow wolf, Ji Anli felt his breathing become a bit labored, the familiar floral scent lingering in the air.

From initially faint scent, it gradually became rich and sticky as if enveloping him entirely.

But his rationality was still present and he tried to look away yet found it impossible.

Ji Anli couldn’t see his own appearance at the moment but the snow wolf’s deep eyes clearly reflected him.

Due to the effect of the heat spray, Ji Anli was visibly heating up but he was too excited to notice the changes in his body.

The slight warmth of his glands made his body gradually heat up, his fair and beautiful face now flushed with heat, his eyes becoming increasingly dazed and infatuated as he fell into his emotions.

But to Lin Jing, Ji Anli who seemed like a flower in its most perfect state, swaying delicately, appeared to be in a state of losing control due to a hidden ailment.

The snow wolf’s fluffy yet resilient eyes looked at Ji Anli who was staring at him, gradually losing his rationality.

If he was feeling so uncomfortable, why wasn’t he doing anything?

Ji Anli regained a bit of rationality from almost losing control and saw the snow wolf tilting its head, looking at him in confusion, even extending a paw out of concern.

Following its movement, Ji Anli lowered his eyes, his damp eyelashes gently falling, obscuring his eyes.

Whether it was the influence of the heat spray or the overwhelming pheromones around him, he subconsciously murmured, “Then I’ll… go ahead.”

How could he actively tempt him?

Ji Anli’s willpower was already weak and this was being offered to him willingly with his consent.

With those words, before Lin Jing could express the unnecessary restraint of his hidden ailment, he felt a strange sensation as if he was a remedy being offered to the other.

But the next moment, Lin Jing, the entire wolf was taken aback, his beastly eyes showed incredulous sight as he watched Ji Anli almost cradle his entire paw in his arms. ??

From the first time Ji Anli saw the snow wolf, he thought it must feel soft and nice to touch.

Actually touching it, he found the sensation even more addictive than he had imagined.

Initially, he was a bit cautious but as his rationality waned with the spray’s optimal effect, he started by gently stroking the paw, gradually becoming bolder, his palm firmly encircling it.

The fluffy paw immediately sank, forming a hollow circle.

Ji Anli’s fair hand was enveloped by the surrounding wolf fur, making his eyes redden further.

His gaze moved up, fixating on the snow wolf’s neck which seemed just as fluffy, tempting him.

Unable to resist, he lifted his free hand, finding it indeed fluffy and finally, unable to hold back, buried his head in the snow wolf’s neck.

Lin Jing felt all his fur stand on end.

Forget human form, even in his second form, he had never been this close to anyone.

And… did this hidden ailment really need such treatment?

Did they have to be this close?

But Ji Anli’s current appearance and loss of control… indeed seemed abnormal, much like he was in the throes of an episode

Lin Jing thought about it for a moment but held back.

The next moment, he felt a weight on the back of his neck.

He lowered his wolf head and at such a close distance, he realized that just touching the paws wasn’t enough for Ji Anli.

Ji Anli simply hugged his neck and buried his face in it, rubbing back and forth.

“…………”

Because they were so close, Lin Jing could smell the intense scent of pheromones.

The scent was so familiar that he didn’t notice at first and inhaled quite a bit.

Instantly, he felt something was off with his body.

Sensing trouble, Lin Jing didn’t care about propriety anymore.

He abruptly shifted from his second form back to human, holding the nearly unconscious Ji Anli, who was hanging onto him, driven by instinct.

With his other hand, he took an inhibitor from Ji Anli’s pocket and injected it before he too was affected by Ji Anli’s pheromones and overheated.

As the cool agent took effect, Ji Anli’s consciousness gradually returned.

He only remembered restraining himself while touching the fluffy paws and the next moment, his mind was buzzing, feeling like he was dreaming.

It was like a paradise for a fluff enthusiast.

But then… why did it suddenly stop?

As Ji Anli’s weak limbs gradually regained strength, he turned his head to look.

He hadn’t realized anything yet but why did he feel like his face was a bit too close?

When he finally realized what was happening, he jerked his head up and stepped back, discovering that he was entirely embraced by Lin Jing.

His head had been resting on Lin Jing’s neck.

Wait, he was just petting a snow wolf so how did it suddenly turn into a person?

Lin Jing, seeing him return to normal, suppressed his restless emotions and explained, “You were affected by a heat-inducing spray just now. Your hidden ailment flared up and got out of control. I was worried you couldn’t handle it so I injected you with an inhibitor.”

Ji Anli, only now realizing how outrageous the heat period could be, asked, “I didn’t do anything to you, did I?”

Thankfully, he had a hidden ailment to hold him back or how would he explain being almost losing control?

Lin Jing replied, “No, you didn’t… but do you always lose control like this?”

He spoke tactfully as the spray’s effect wasn’t that strong but the way Ji Anli’s symptom flared up had indeed surprised him.

Ji Anli waved his hand, “Of course not…”

Then he reconsidered, “Do you think it’s inappropriate? Honestly, I’m not too sure myself since I only developed this issue after my second evolution.”

Lin Jing shook his head, “It’s fine I don’t find it inappropriate.”

Since he had decided to enter into a marriage to help and Ji Anli had sacrificed so much to save him, he couldn’t hold a grudge over a bit of fur.

Ji Anli breathed a sigh of relief, worried that Lin Jing might pursue the issue of his condition losing control, and urged Lin Jing to quickly spray the agent

Lin Jing nodded, not letting his guard down and reminded, “If I lose control during the psychic outburst, don’t hesitate to take action against me if necessary.”

He knew Ji Anli had strong healing abilities but there was always a chance something could go wrong.

Worried that Ji Anli might get hurt trying to save him, he added an extra reminder.

Ji Anli acknowledged with a serious expression.

Soon, Lin Jing sprayed the reagent that triggered his rut period.

As the spray was used, the scent of pheromones quickly filled the air even more intensely than before.

Ji Anli immediately felt the temperature around him rise.

Not only that, the Alpha’s pheromones affected him, making his own glands start to heat up also.

Sensing something was wrong, Lin Jing quickly took out a suppressant and injected himself.

Even so, in the next moment, he transformed into his second form with a bang, instinctively lunging towards Ji Anli.

Normally, Lin Jing could control himself but with his psychic state unstable, he couldn’t control the transformation into his second form.

This was probably what Lin Yu wanted—to scare Ji Anli into breaking off the engagement by showing him this terrifying scene.

Fortunately, Lin Jing had strong self-control.

At the last moment, he managed to stop himself, quickly spinning around to change direction.

Ji Anli had been admiring the snow-colored brocade on Lin Jing, thinking it was indeed his original skin, completely different from what he wore earlier.

The next moment, the unexpected benefit appeared before him.

He thought he would only get to touch the fluff once today but the surprise came so quickly.

Watching the fluffy figure rushing towards him, getting closer and closer, Ji Anli instinctively opened his arms to embrace this heaven-sent benefit.

But in the next moment… the snow wolf spun around, its tail brushing across his forehead as it changed direction and went elsewhere.

The unexpected surprise… was gone.

Ji Anli looked blankly at Lin Jing who had returned to human form and was sitting cross-legged, meditating to recover.

He couldn’t blame him for the pounce, could he?

Despite the disappointment, Ji Anli dutifully stepped forward to help Lin Jing with his healing abilities, assisting in suppressing the psychic turmoil.

Soon, Lin Jing returned to normal, opening his eyes to see Ji Anli pursing his lips as if deep in thought.

“Sorry, did I scare you?”

Ji Anli replied, “How could you? Don’t overthink it.”

Could he really say he was just lamenting the lost surprise he had been looking forward to?

How could he even express that?

With the third task completed, they handed the three green cards they earned to the doctor.

After confirming everything was done according to procedure and filling out the non-mandatory tests on the first form, the doctor approved their premarital examination.

Almost simultaneously, both of their wristbands received a message from the identity ID, with a note saying “Premarital Examination Passed √.”

This meant they could register to become a legally recognized couple at any time

Ji Anli felt great seeing the green check mark next to his ID.

Curious, he glanced at Lin Jing’s who adjusted his wristband for easier viewing.

Sure enough, they matched.

The doctor couldn’t help but smile at the scene.

“You two have a great relationship. Congratulations on passing the test. I hope to hear good news from you soon.”

Ji Anli smiled and thanked the doctor while Lin Jing nodded in acknowledgment.

After wrapping things up, Ji Anli and Lin Jing were about to leave.

Lin Jing still needed to tend to his wound but they noticed two people standing outside the doctor’s office, quietly watching them through the half-open door.

The doctor’s words were clearly overheard by them.

One of them had a particularly strange expression, quickly moving aside to reveal the other person, perhaps to hide their emotions.

Ji Anli wasn’t too bothered when he saw Lin Yu.

Judging by Lin Yu’s expression, he knew he had heard about their successful premarital test.

He was probably fuming inside but who cared what he thought?

However, the next face he saw made Ji Anli hesitate.

Could it be who he thought it was?
